This is part of a School project creating Symbols, that use their visual language to be able to share a light on a topic or be a visual key to a action or word.

My symbol set is inspired by Napoleonic cartography symbols, that were used in battle-maps and depictions of battle-scenes. My aim was to create a set of symbols that could be used in a strategy game, that takes inspiration from the historic background of 18th and 19th century history and RTS gaming. I created my own analogue drawings and used them as a basis to create pixel styled symbols that could be used for a RTS User Interface. i also wanted them to have a interactive component, so i decided to add animation to it and finalised my symbols to be animated gif’s.
